Tired of the BS

Postby Piscivorous » Mar 01 2011

Six times in the past 4 days I've flopped set under set. Three times KK runs into AA. Add AA losing to lower pairs 5 times and one time flopping top set and losing to a one outer.

And then you just shake your head on stuff like this:

NL10 on Bodog:
:Qd :Qc UtG+2. Folds to me and I 3x the BB. Three people flat the raise.

Flop comes :2s :6d :7h I make a pot bet which covers the shortstack. He calls. The other two fold.

He shows :9s :Jh  Perfect call, because he knows he's getting rewarded:

:5h :8d

After running decently last week, the wheels have fallen off to the overabundance of coolers, egregious suckouts and other tomfoolery.

The notion of making them pay for making stupid mistakes only works if you actually get paid for them making stupid mistakes.

Don't know what it is about Bodog. I go in knowing I'm starting a session down a buy-in. What else can I expect? Every day I flop bottom set at least once vs top set and get stuck a buy-in. Twice since Feb 14th have I managed to flop the higher set. The first time he hit his one outer for quads. Today was the other and a set of Js held up against a set of 2s.

I wouldn't bring this up at all, but I have yet to even experience set over set anywhere else this year, even in my LHE games. My HUD and opponents must be laughing at me.

Regardless, however, I have still managed to stay afloat by 3 buy-ins as I chase this infernal bonus at Bodog. Only 11 more days of 10 Bodog Points a day.

Luckily my wife shaved my head, but for some unknown reason the cats won't come into the computer room and my neighbors are all shooting me wicked stares....
