Just a quick note of thanks to the Gods of Poker.

At our club meetings here at Camp Lemonnier we always play a game, conduct club business, and then play another game or two. I had called for an election to be held as part of the business of last night's meeting. Thus, the first game last night was to be my last as Chairman of the Combined Joint Staff Strategery Committee.

I won it in dominating fashion.

Whilst just about anyone could have won with the hands I was making, the chip lead I had accumulated was in part due to some good reads and well-timed bluffs on my part. My 'A' game was on. I take no small measure of satisfaction at winning my last game as Chairman. It feels awesome.

We then held our election and I turned the gavel over to 'Ponch'. Long may he reign.
