I should have grabbed my chips and ran after the first hand:
I get
in the BB. Three people limp and the button and SB complete and I check my option.Flop comes:
SB checks and I bet out, fold, raise, fold, call, call and I 3-bet, getting raiser to call and the button to call.Turn is
I bet, call, call.River is
I bet, raise, fold, call.Flop re-raiser shows
Three flopped straights all lost. Four flopped flushes went 1 for 4.
I got KK once and an A flops.
AK and AQ never improved. I converted 5 flushes and 3 straights and won 1 of each. The flushes always either ended up against a better flush [once against two better flushes] or with a rivered fourflush and omnipresent A of suit.
It was a basic have-monster-lose-while-opponents-can-win-with-A-high syndrome. I lost 48BBs in 6 hours. Probably my most painful loss. Considering how poorly these people play and the weird circumstance of big made hands losing to some real dicey results, I can't feel down about it. These players are just oozing chips from every pore and I just need to be there with a mop to soak the chips up over the long run.
