53o carries me to my first big win in a long while

Postby MacTaiga » Dec 18 2009

$11 buyin, $15k guarantee, 3K players or so. Last 20 ish players and every time I got into a blind-on-blind situation with Villian he raised or re-raised me. I've already folded a couple of ok hands to re-raises in this situation so I think of making a move on him at least to make him think in future, he can't always be having that strong hands.

The flop is great but I'm vulnerable to re-draws so I'm after getting everything in and I was amazed he called the check-raise. I've been conservative, raising in position and not very often, folding to 3-bets and when called I've had the goods. I figured my image was tight enough to support a move, turns out I don't think it was afterall!

Did villan throw any nasty words your way?
Why should I worry about not having a 6-pack, when I'm carrying around a Pony Keg?

I can honestly say I've no idea, best guess is that he thought I was on a pure bluff.
