Raisindye: PLO8 Stake Progress Thread

Postby Raisindye » Oct 15 2010

Gents, I have decent news to report. I'm off shift a little earlier than expected, which means I can start the tourneys tonight. This is the official progress/rail/sweat/discussion thread. Tonight I can see 3 tourneys that I'll be playing in. I'll update with the TIDs as I get rolling. I may or may not spend much time in IRC these days as Mibbit has been far less than stable for me ever since I upgraded to Win 7. Here's the link to follow along with our tourney progress.

This is the list again for what tourneys I can play in:
$22 0110EST 2k GTD
$33 0810EST 3k GTD
$33 0930EST 1.5k GTD
$22 1130EST 1.5k GTD
$22 1730EST 3k GTD
$33 1910EST 3k GTD (This is NLO8, but I’m comfortable with that)
$22 1930EST 5k GTD
$55 2330EST 3k GTD

RDye's $22-$55 PLO8 Stake Progress Sheet

Waiting in IRC.

Firefox + Chatzilla FTW.

EDIT: bah, won't still be waiting if you're not playing in the 1930 :D

Busted in the 1930 NLO8 rather quickly when this moron got jiggy with me and naturally rivered the life out of me. These things happen. In the 1910 still and the 2330 starts in a few hours.

Here's the stupid hand: playing agianst these dummies is profitable in the longrun

Busted in the 1930 in the 2nd hour. No morons to complain about - other than maybe the one I see in the mirror. Just a poker hand... still have the 2330 tonight.

Hour 2 of the $55 I busted. Here are the two terribad beats that made it so I couldn't do anything in the tourney:

Dirty River

Was the villain's NL hand really that bad? It looks like he had crap for a low with the 2 already out and two broadway cards, but a decent draw [12 outs on the flop] to the nuts, with a couple other outs as possibilities.

Then again, my results in O/8 MTTs are crap.

What I can say is Stars is chock full of these gamblers who see flushdraws and start to drool like frat boys at a Hooters.

You'll get them!

His hand was questionable at best pre-flop. The flop, no problem. Juts a nasty way to lose the hand outright with all the ways I could've won even half of it.

For today, Saturday the 16th of October. I don't think I'll be in any staked tourneys unless I don't end up going out with the wife tonight. If I don't, then I'll play at a minimum the 2330 $55. Anyway, if you're itching to watch some PLO8, I'm currently playing the $215 $30k gtd which I decided to enter with one of my 3 Step 4 tourney tickets. GL me, and if I run in one for us tonight, GL us!!

The 1910EST didn't ever get going for me. I did awful,(80 of 130 i think) details in Spreadsheet.

In the 1930EST still... and the 2330 EST starts in ~ 40mins. Might be needing a rail if anyone's available shortly in this 1930 EST. TID: 335010887

Edit @ 2358EST... Suddenly all hell has broken loose. Taken disgusting beats in the 2330EST that knocked me out quickly. Then, while sitting quite comfortably in top 3 of the 1910 5k GTD, I took some nasty rivers too. Sitting 10/11 and needing some luck to run right and turn this night into something worth while for us all!
