The proposal is that a group of us get together in order to stake one person per month (roughly) into the Million throughout 2011.

Effectively you will have one shot at the Million yourself, plus a stake in each of the 11 other runners; we will have a runner roughly once a month throughout the year.

The nominal cost should be $215 over 12 months or roughly $18 per month. However (assuming you have funds available) you shouldn't need to ship any funds - you simply play your tourney on your own dime when it's your turn, and ship any profit shares.

We have had some interest from people who might want in but be unable / unwilling to play themselves; in that case they are free to nominate someone else to play on their behalf (in which case they make their own arrangements for transfer of funds).

Assuming we get 12 interested, pretty much all that needs to be agreed is the share of any profits that will go to the pool. My feeling is that this is effectively one giant Slug, and so something in the region of half the profits shared would be appropriate. But this is something up for discussion.

We would like to get someone in before the end of January (although it's not a disaster if we don't), so discuss away.

I also don't think that we have to limit this to 12 players either. If we end up with more than 12, we can have multiple players in one month, but it would increase the $$$ committment.
