English Poker Open

Postby philhux » Aug 04 2010

I get back to the UK at the end of August after my extended trip and am thinking of playing the English Poker Open.

Details:
Palm Beach Casino London
11-14 September
£3,750 buy in
300 player cap
£1,000,000gtd prizepool.
http://www.englishpokeropen.com/

I think this event is good value compared to the other tourneys in London at the time, WPT, EPT, WSOP - Although the structure will be a little faster than the main events of each of those. Rake the Rake are sponsoring and they are putting a lot of people in. Last year it was at Dusk til Dawn in Nottingham and this year it moves to London.

So at the moment I'm gauging interest. I will probably look to sell up to 50% of my action, on ITH first and then probably on chip me up for the rest. There will be a vig of 8-10% to cover the currency exchange and because I think I have an edge on the field.

So 1% of my action is likely to be around $65

At the moment I'm just gauging interest and if I'm going to play will do a full staking thread in a few weeks. So if you are interested then post and I will come to you guys first before I sell elsewhere.

To add - I might also do a package with the WSOPE £1k the following week

I'll do a percent or maybe two. I might even come rail. We're planning a meet around the wsope in any case.

+1, although it's very unlikely I'd be able to rail

Alright - I'll decide for sure and then post on here first and sell the rest on two plus two.

I think it is going to be a really good tourney!

Cool - I will put up a staking thread in a week or two.

I think it will be a package with English Poker Open and WSOP £1k

I even had the pleasure of railing Phill a bit at the Main Event, and discussing a few things. It's certainly a good investment. I'll be in too. Just don't let them hit those 3 outers against you.

You're probably better off listing the action on 2+2 than on CMU (saves a few $$ on fees).
