any interest in staking me in WSOP satellites? - preliminary

Postby poker_Elmo » Apr 26 2010

I am thinking of trying for a WSOP ME seat. Would anyone possibly be interested in staking me if I played a few $500-$700 events one weekend? The stake would only return money should I win my WSOP ME seat and then later cash in the main event.

I may be interested in selling up to half my action. If anyone might be interested, let me know. If there is enough interest and I go through with my plan, I will put a more-formal plan/proposal together in a week or two for your evaluation.

Some background on my tourney results:

- Played at WSOP in 2005, 2006, 2008 (four events, one cash)
- Won two WSOP main event sats (for ME in 2005 and 2009)
- Won two other WSOP seats (one through Bodog, one through ITH player of year several years ago - both for 2006 WSOP).
- Have more cashes of over $1,000 than I can count, with several cashes of 4K or more.
- Many cashes are of screen names I don't even remember from old sites but you can look up pokerelmo on stars - also might try pokerelmo (paradise poker), and fortytwolong (party skins) for some evidence of the old cashes. Pretty sure a bunch of ITHers watched me win my WSOP seat on bodog when I was playing under the screenname "Friskymuffin". :)

Note - if you indicate you might be interested, naturally you aren't committed to staking - you can reevaluate once a formal proposal/plan is presented later.

So would I.

Any idea on handling things in case you cash. (In terms of taxes, etc. Like what happened to Yankees). I don't want to ruin my chances, but I suspect you prefer US stakers over Euro stakers.

You gonna be in vegas at all? I'd be much more interested in staking you in some 1k WSOP live sats. But count me in for this as well.

By expressing interest, what I meant to imply was I will ship you $500 tonight.
Peace,

Thanks for the interest. I am working on a political campaign for one more week, but then my schedule eases up and I will put together a more formal plan, perhaps playing a few sats the weekend of the 22/23 and 29/30.

Yanks, I am going to Vegas to play the WSOP event on June 16 - a live sat around then is an option too. (Hopefully I win my seat earlier though.)
