$25 - $2500

Postby Maiden » Dec 19 2007

I've started lots of these type of quests in the past, and they've always sort of petered out, so the charity aspect should give me the kick in he arse I need to finish one of these things.

Idea is similar to whats been done before, I'm starting with $25, I stop when I hit $2500. $500 will go to Colombianitos. If I can finish before the next ITH convention, I might use the other $2k to turn up there, and show you lot how to really drink :P

I'll stick to the rigid BR management a la Fergusson:

I'll never buy into a cash game or a Sit & Go with more than 5 percent of my total bankroll (there is an exception for the lowest limits: I'm allowed to buy into any game with a buy-in of $2.50 or less).

I won't buy into a multi-table tournament for more than 2 percent of my total bankroll and I'm allowed to buy into any multi-table tournament that costs $1.

If at any time during a No-Limit or Pot-Limit cash-game session the money on the table represents more than 10 percent of my total bankroll, I must leave the game when the blinds reach me.

A few personal rules:

-I wont play more than 2 tables simultneously, because quite frankly I suck at multi-tabling.

-If I go broke, I'll reload.

-I'll do this at FT as it's one of the few sites that work through the firewall at work, so I'll be able to get some short sessions in during lunchbreaks :)

-I aim to put in at least 10 hours per week on the quest

-Anything won through FTP's can be added to the bankroll (starting with 1004 FTP's)

-There is no timeframe..quest finishes when BR hits $2500

I'll post a weekly update showing how I'm getting on.

Wish me luck :)

About time I did an update :p

Currently at $446...going slower than I expected, but not too bad.

Moved base of operations to Stars, playing SnG's as it seems to be my best game these days :)

Well it's been a while since I did an update, for 2 reasons, workload has restricted my pokertime, and I've had a crap few months when I have been able to play. Cant seem to hit a cows arse with a banjo as the saying goes:/

awesome Maiden.

I'm pretty pumped up right now with Colombianitos. The Board is having a day and a half retreat tomorrow which I have been coordinating. We'll be discussing our vision and strategy for where we want to take Colombianitos next. We currently have over 4,000 children in our programs. I'm also going to Medellin in January and will be visiting our project there to see how it has progressed.

I really appreciate everyone's support from ITH.

Thanks!

Matthew
