I would like people to list the best book on SNGs. Two Categories: BEGINNER and ADVANCED.

I've never found anything better than Moshman's book.

+1... with strategy being so relatively cut and dry. I can't imagine that anyone could find a much more "ground breaking" way to write another book on it.

I hope this isnt a silly question,

I was researching the Moshman book. It is for a single table SnG. Am I safe to assume that the tactics and strats offered would apply to SnG's up to 45 players? Or are the 45's and up considered more of an MTT scenaro?

When does a SnG become a MTT? I know that when two tables are involved it technically becomes a MTT, I hope I made my question clear enough... :?

For Beginner:

I liked Phil Hellmuth's books as well as some of the videos from Howard Lederer.

For Advanced:

I personally liked reading the Harrington On Hole 'em Series...V1,V2,V3.

I realize that the ITH authors are taking it "beyond Harrington", but you need to understand Harrington first (in my opinion).

When does a SnG become a MTT?

I know that this has been asked multiple times by various posters, but my searching skills are lacking and I can't find the thread (I thought it was a sticky). I think a 27 man could still be considered a SNG, probably much more than that and you're going to lean towards calling it an MTT. Nothing definitive however. You're certainly not going to play completely different because you've crossed some imaginary line into MTT land :) .

Or you could avoid the debate and ask when does a STT become a MTT

Thanks to those who recommend my book. While a lot of the ideas apply to other formats, it's crucial to adjust to the payout structure if you're playing MTTSNG. For ones like Stars 180-mans, those are a lot closer to MTTs with 10% of the field paid, and I'd check out good tourney books/resources if you wanted to play those.

I'd back up Collin's book with Kill Everyone. Section 2 has some really good material that is certainly applicable to SnG's.
