Is it time to ditch Bayou Poker? edit: YES! (Peril List)

Postby ezplayer » Jun 23 2006

I requested a cash out on the 14th and it still hasn't arrived. I called Pokerroom support and they say Bayou is financially sound but just totally backed up because they're cashing everything "by hand" so to speak. The say it could take up to four weeks to get the cash out.

Should I cancel the cash out, set up a private game and lose all my money one of my handles on another PR skin?

I sympathize with your frustration, but I would not recommend chip dumping as a way out. They will keep your money forever if you are caught.
Peace,
Bull

EZ, send an email to the following people at Bayou, they always sorted out any query I had.

tom@bayoupoker.com and the owner mhenry@bayoupoker.com

Mike will email you back and is a stand up guy. I loved Bayou just hate the ongame softwre they share with PokerRoom

Thanks. Tom is the one who sent me to player support...he's usually pretty helpful. I'll email the owner next week.

There are players posting on PokerFox.net who have not received cashouts. I would definitely call it quits on there. On PFox, they have found information about the owner of Bayou, who lives in Lousiana, and there's some talk about how people plan to get the money, or at the very least, get his site shut down. Chris "Fox" Wallace has already contacted pokerroom and they are working on getting to the bottom of this.

Bump. I have $1100 with these guys and that's a huge portion of my bankroll. Still no word or help or sign at all for my cash out. Does anyone have any thoughts?

Have you made them aware that you're posting about your disatisfaction online? Could be an arm-twister if you're willing to step up your actions.

When you get your money, don't go back - I guess you weren't going to anyway :).

Keep on at CS.

I cashed out on the 20th of May and didn't get my money until a couple of days ago.
I suggest quit playing against God, my guess is he's got a pretty good read on you - Muttly

ez, e-mail those 2 guys, again, for sure. Is there a phone number for the site? Please let me know the final result. There was a thread awhile back about not playing here. We'll move this thread to PSRF and add them to the Peril list.

I don't know if they're on our free book offer, but at this point, I'd also pm ciaran and sandsstorm with this thread link and see if they can intercede.

I don't really have a contact there - because to my knowledge we don't really work with them (i.e. I don't have an affiliate relation that I know of).

I was even unaware they are a PR skin.

Did you sign up with them through ITH that you are aware of?

I'll check around to see what I can find out as well -

Sorry for the troubles -

They've been completely unresponsive for a week now...I think this site needs to go on the black list.

ez, I hope someone can help you, here. I didn't know they were a pr skin either. Who did you sign up with them through? Also, I'm pretty darn sure these guys were referred to in another thread about a bum site, and I asked the person who mentioned them to write a separate post/thread with the details. Haven't heard a word since. I've marked this thread for moving as soon as there's no more action on it, and I will add them to the Peril list.

Best of luck to you,

I got the cash out today! Now all I have to do is get the rest out. Maybe they're telling the truth when they say it's just slow because they're doing it by hand. Either way, though, I'm done with them...just a little happier now.

Great news, ez. Happy for you. What do you mean, "get the rest out"? What's the rest?

I had just over $1100 there. I made the $600 cash out because I didn't like that much exposure relative to my bankroll and "uh oh", it took a month to show up. I didn't request the balance until this morning because it seemed to me that if there was a problem and they knew I was completely bailing (instead of just partially cashingout), it would make it less likely that I got anything. Who knows what's really going on, but at least the $600 is safe so I can donk it into another random site
