It's ok......but......

Postby WhooFleuryScores » Jul 23 2005

If you have any urge to deposit money here to get the "easy money"...don't.

The $100 deposit bonus is nice;but you're technically not supposed to withdraw it until you wager $2000 in bets.Hmm.Yeah I do that every day lol.The $25 you get for being referred by a friend is nice, but I lost most of that posting blinds cause I kept getting dealt rags or having my marginal hands raised preflop.

The software is clunky, esp when you come from the Part skins so that is a bit of a nuisance. The one table option is kinda annoying too,and sitting around waiting for your monster hands can get trying too.

Currently I'm awaiting a cashout;they told me "3 business days to process",and then "24 hours to appear in Neteller" giving me roughly 4 days of sitting around.

Guess I can go back over my basics then.

When you just think about your profit, pacific poker is the nuts. I play there for more than a year now and i made money every month. True, their software is awful and the fact that you cant play more then one table is not really a disadvantage. You will be more concentrated an get to know your opponents better. And i almost never get disconnected.

But for low-limit players like me it's heaven. All the low-limits up to $3-$6 and maybe even $5-$10 are full of fish, i have a list of dozens of players who are real maniacs. Of course your pocket aces will be cracked by these maniacs more frequently, you just have to accept that. A raise by a rock means nothing to 70% of the players...
But when you play poker just a littlebit serious and look at your balance at the end of ther month...you just can't lose.

Of course bad run of cards happen but it's not as bad as on Party Poker. And if you play frequently their Bonus points system will give you a free $50 once a month...just for playing the fish.

Used to be My Favorite

Postby chazt » Sep 04 2005

I started here 2 1/2 years ago. Loved it. Then the reputation got out that this was an easy site and the games turned into "NO FOLD EM HOLD EM"...no strategy just an all out bet fest to the river. I did very well at this site cashing over 2k on my 200 dollar investment but things got so crazy that I only play there rarely now. Graphics cumbersome and slow, rude players the norm, support curt and unsupportive. Sorry cannot recommend.

The only good thing about PP, a lot of money.

There RCG is real bad, watch for 8's and 2's they come up on the board
almost every hand. Find an honest server, and let me know.

yo,

anyone been getting ruthless disconnects the past couple of days?? It has been almost unbearable. The worst is that I know it's not me since I play Party at the same time. Also, I am noticing a ton of people at each table who are disconnected while playing; it says "disconnected" rather than "sitting out", and I used to never see this.

UnF'ing believeable.

Also, as a side comment, their recent upgrade is a bit corny. They have "turbo" and "fast" tables to try to increase the # of hands/hr. Basically you just get less time to decide. If you want to increase the hands/hr improve the software you dopes, not shorten the decision making time (I think 90% if people respond within 5seconds anyway so it only slightly increases the H/hr)

stll the fishiest place i've ever been to though.....

It's much fishier than Party, it is shocking! They are also introducing multitabling in the next few week or so.

I NEED HELP PLEASE. PACIFIC POKER KEEPING MY $13,000

Postby DirtyB » Apr 07 2006

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME. LET ME EXPLAIN MY SITUATION.

I DEPOSITED MONEY ON PACIFIC POKER AND WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO PLAY HEADS UP WITH SOMEONE THAT WAS ON TILT. HE UNLOADED ABOUT $10,000 ON ME. I THEN PLAYED A LITTTLE MORE AND WON ANOTHER $3,000 OVER A COUPLE WEEKS. I WAS PLAYING 30/60, 50/100 AND 75/150. WHEN I TRIED TO CASH OUT THEY SAID I WAS ON THE RECEIVING END OF SOMEONE LOOSING ON PURPOSE. AFTER A FEW EMAILS THEY SAID THE CASE WAS CLOSED AND THEY ARE KEEPING MY MONEY THAT I RIGHTFULLY WON. I NEVER GOT ANYTHING FROM THEM BACKING WHAT THEY CLAIM. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME OUT AND TELL ME WHAT I CAN DO IF ANYTHING.

Sure there's plenty of fish on this site. However, the bad beats are uglier and you will encounter more bad beats here than all the other sites combined. It's extremely frustrating and in the long run will not do your confidence level any good, even if you're holding premium hands like KK or AA. This site will be more suited to gamblers who's willing to go in with any 2 cards and hope it hits something.

Recently their software were crashing with a poker.exe error each time the game starts. Sometimes after a few restarts, you'll be able to continue your game. More often, you can't even play a single hand for a tourney that you already paid for. A company releasing software full of bugs doesn't speak well for them. This combined with the numerous ugly bad beats, you'll be better off playing in a different site.

Hey Dezza,

Thank you for mentioning that about the software crashing. That's just been happening recently. They told me to uninstall and reinstall a couple of weeks ago, and that worked fine. Then it started crashing again. Now I can't even get the stupid software to reinstall. It keeps crashing as it finishes installing. And when I request help with it they just tell me to uninstall and reinstall. What should I do now, anyone?

Thank you,

Derrick

Another victim of FPS, Fancy Play Syndrome-- need the correct opp to make moves/try to outplay them-- especially at lower levels where they almost all play at the zeroth or 1st level of thinking you usually do end up spewing chips-- even against the correct opp you have to pick your spots--not try to do it too often. -- Bugsbunny
