I'll just put in my piece and join the other people who are suspicious about the number of bad beats on this site. I know that as humans we are very poor at judging statistics and odds and also that bad runs can go on and on just through the luck of the cards. But seriously, I have never experienced such a high number of bad beats and beaten high hands as there seems to be on this site. I just dont trust this site anymore.

Absolute Poker Is A Pretty Good Site

Postby Son of Butch » Feb 18 2006

When I first started at Absolute I was not impressed. The graphics and software average at best...can only access my notes for first table if I am playing more than one table.. But, I have got to hand it to them they are really trying. Their bonus programs are GREAT. Because of it I RATE THIS SITE BETTER THAN MOST. If you are going to play at more than 2 sites ABSOLUTE should be up next on your list. As for bad beats. Have been playing online 2 years and get more than I deserve at all the sites, So I go and play live and find it to be just as bad...only slower. Maybe I should switch to Black Jack. :)

Not my personal favorite but functionality is good. The table and surroundings are not very appealing. My results in cash games chasing a bonus was not a pleasant experience.
I got in on the $75 RAF bonus. That was good.
I have enjoyed playing on the site in the ITH tournaments.
Options such as seating preference and resizing would be nice.

Another victim of FPS, Fancy Play Syndrome-- need the correct opp to make moves/try to outplay them-- especially at lower levels where they almost all play at the zeroth or 1st level of thinking you usually do end up spewing chips-- even against the correct opp you have to pick your spots--not try to do it too often. -- Bugsbunny
