Another victim of FPS, Fancy Play Syndrome-- need the correct opp to make moves/try to outplay them-- especially at lower levels where they almost all play at the zeroth or 1st level of thinking you usually do end up spewing chips-- even against the correct opp you have to pick your spots--not try to do it too often. -- Bugsbunny
On 6/14, ez2cy posted this in the site rating thread. I've moved it to here, the discussion thread:

This site is probably even easier to beat than Party. The problems I've ran into have more to do with hand history. Why don't they show the hands that called the river, and why do they show everyone when you bet and get called?
On the other hand I have won more money, faster there than at any other site I've tried. Oh yeah, when I can find more than 15 people playing at all the limit tables put together. disclaimer: I know little or nothing about computers
Last strawI made the final table for their WPT event. There was a big screw up with it and I missed it. They gave me a coupon for their Aussie Millions. I checked last week and there was one more of these tourneys...but I had made other plans. I contacted live support and was told there was another one this Saturday. I tried, but there isn't one! I talked to live support again just now. I was told "you had the coupon since August, so you had plenty of time to use it". I told them, "whether I play it early on, or wait for the last one, is my buisness, and I was told I had one I could get into next week, which I can't". I got the "sorry, nothing we can do, should have played sooner". I told them to never mind, it will make a great discussion on the dozen or so Poker Forums I belong to. She told me that they would sue for defamation! LOL......I told her I was a Paralegal (which I really am) and that you can't sue for defamation if what the person said was true. IDIOTS!
Re: Last strawI'm not really sure what you are mad at. You even said there are upcoming tournaments, but you won't play in them because you made other plans.
It definitely is your business whether you play early or wait for the last one. It is also your business if you make other plans at the time of the last tournament. That was your choice. It is NOT their business to schedule their tournaments around your personal life.
You didn't read my post right. I had plans last weekend, and there was the tourney. I contacted live support and they told me that there was another one for this Saturday, the last one. So I went ahead with my plans. Had it of been the last one to enter last Saturday, I would have cancelled my plans. Because "the other staff member was mistaken" I lost the chance to play in it at all. I don't expect them to change the tourney for me. But support should know what is coming up and what is not!
I agree that support definately should know what is coming up. The sad fact is that support people are often not very knowledgable and I would really encourage player's to check into things themselves.
I checked 4 or 5 times to make sure I had the date and time correct for the PCA sat I played at Stars last Sunday. It was the last one and if I missed it I would have been mad. It's too bad what happened but be sure to check the tournament listings yourself. Also, I'm sure that poker sites all have clauses that allow them to cancel/reschedule satelite tournaments as they see fit. I noticed the other day Poker.Com upgraded their software. The biggest difference I see is a much improved Hand History. It can be left open in a seperate window, where before it couldn't, and it shows Mucked cards where before it didn't.
I also noticed a bunch of new games with people actually playing them.
Now, the site that renegged on the wsop seats was "poker now", right? They're not on our index list and not even on the Sites to Play at Your Own Peril list. If I finally cave and open an account at poker.com, I want to make sure it's not the site that didn't pay up for the wsop seats they awarded in tourneys.

You're right, Ciaran. It was checknraise.
There was some thing that caused me not to join poker.com, but for the life of me, I can't remember what it was. it's obviously not in this 1-page thread. I need to check out the site rating thread for them. At least this place is one more option.

Probably because they aren't PokerTracker compatible yet. I noticed they started writing Hand Histories to my disk, so maybe PT isn't too far away.
I remember what it was, because I remember your comments to that regard in a prior thread... Several months ago, they changed bonus terms and it went into effect for everyone, including bonuses already pending. There was a long thread about it (I can't seem to find it at the moment). Poker.com handled it better than to be expected. Most sites would metaphorically give you the finger, but a representative of Poker.com came in and offered to (and did) credit the full amount of any bonus that was pending prior to the change of terms (no play through requirements). It was a much better resolution than I would have expected.
I think you've got a couple of different site issues confused. The one issue I had with a site about what you mention, was Players Edge Poker. That was the long thread, and thanks only to BW, was I able to get my $1000 deposit returned.
