Just took my latest attempt at 10NL and was immeadiately stacked as an 83% fav. My 88 floped KQ8 and we got it all in on the flop since my opponent held KQ. River was a K. I know I played it correctly and thats all that counts.

Hands like this have kept me at the lowest of limits for longer than I should be. I was tempted to drop down and rebuild it back like I always do but Im actually over bankrolled for 10NL. For once Im not dropping down and Im going to grind through it.

Im thinking that rereading Pie's book should be a fantastic idea. Anyone else have any other suggestions? Maybe when I get a taste of winning a larger pot I will have a different outlook.

Hopefully this is a common situation and others have felt the same way.

I am moving up limits now too in NL, and what I find helpful is buying in for far less than the maximum at the higher limits. For example, if you buyin for $5 at NL $0.02/$0.05, buyin for $4 or $5 at NL $0.05/$0.10. You are not risking more money, but you will get used to the pyschological aspects of playing a bigger game. Once you double up, you are playing a full stack, but you may be more relaxed since your initial investment was only what you invest normally in a $0.05 bb game.

Last night I actually had 3 tables open. I had $200 on a 1/2 blind game, 120 on a 2/4 NL game, and 230 on a 5/10 NL game.

I think at some point you've just to suck it up and play through it as long as you're properly bankrolled. I know I've moved up more slowly than was probably optimal in the games I play due to "nerves" as well though.

Its nice to know that other, much respected players, have dealt with a similar situation.

I actually dropped down to 5nl and opened up 4 tables and won it all back. Time to take my next shot at 10nl.

Im really going to focus on grinding through it when it happens again.

well moving around is nice to keeping yourself well adjusted to all situations. But only drop when you are down swinning.
