There are already robust measures in place to protect you from fraudulent echacks. You simply need to report this to your bank and they will return your money. It is no different that someone who uses your check information to write forged checks or a person in your house who signs checks at Best Buy. You just report it to your bank and they must return your money. It is part of what banks call "Regulation E" and they should know exactly what to do.
They will pursue criminal charges against your fiance's son, however.
As what i have known, 17 is not yet a legal age to play poker. You should discipline your fiancee's son or report it to the police. Let them make the proper actions on what to do with him.
In this case poker is no different to anything else he could've spent the money on. Onlne casinos, betting, shopping etc. It's identity fraud, and not a specific poker issue.
If you want to take the steps to reclaim the money then your fiancee's son will quite possibly face criminal charges, there's no way around that.
How did a 17 year old enter o n any online poker site? If that guy uses his parents or friends account, what should be the possibility to have the money?
