Rob Woodruff - Heads up poker stragegy book

Postby gregnorton » Jul 15 2009

The authors first book was one of the most informative and profitable poker books I have ever read so I was very interested in reading more of his ideas and I was not disapointed . Heads Up poker strategy book is very informative and has some very innovative ideas on how to handle the difficult situations you face in a heads up confrontation. Woodruff 's thoughts on exploiting different playing styles and pot size control and manipulation were particularly useful . This is a excellent advanced poker book .It is a must have for every serious heads up player

Here is an interesting bit of trivia. The website of this obscure heads-up poker author is registered to a guy in an obscure town in the poker hotbed of Slovakia. Astoundingly enough, in a truly mind-boggling coincidence, this poster (one of the biggest fans of Mr. Woodruff's work) also happens to be from that very same town in Slovakia. Small world, huh?

I'm constantly amazed at how small this world is. I once say someone in Spain who I went to middle school with. Maybe the poster and the author will run into each other someday.
