Multi-tabling

Postby JPFisher55 » Oct 19 2007

Does the number of tables that you play at once affect the size of your required bankroll? Does playing 2 tables double the recommended bankroll?
I play $.50/$1 NLHE on 2 tables. Should my bankroll be $2,000 or $4,000?
Thanks for your advice.

Technically no. It just increases the rate at which u see the long run. However, since most peoples earn rates decrease the BR should also increase because you will have a higher chance of busting with a smaller BR. Also, if you are say 12-tabling it's probably wise to have more than 20 buyins because a) you're starting with 12 on the tables and b) since ur earn rate is likely to be lower you're probably better off with a higher BR.
