In a nutshellBankroll guidance for
FRLH FRNLH SHLH SHNLH What's the latest and greatest philosophy? Peace,

I'm only qualified to speak about SHNLH but I would say minimum of 20 BI, up to whatever you want. But if you're playing more than 40-50 I would recommend either moving up or cashing some out and buying something nice.
If you're going to play 20BI tho you have to be pretty damn disciplined about moving down if you hit a downswing, if you don't want to have to reload that is
In a nutshell, play a game you beat, then you don't have to worry about BR management.
Even so, I had a 300BB downswing at one stage last year at a pretty soft FRLH level, and it can only be worse higher up. I'm not comfortable playing limit with <1000BB these days. But it depends a lot on how willing you are to drop a level because of variance alone. Learn from your mistakes; earn from other people's
That's just it, I am not sure what I can beat anymore. I have not played seriously in such a long time, but I'd like to again. Peace,

If this is the case, and you're playing more for the enjoyment and challenge rather than because you need the money, why not start at the bottom and move up when the BR allows?
This way if your game is good enough to beat the level you start at you'll be moving up pretty soon anyway. IMO this is a far better strategy than playing 10,000 hands at a level and then realisng you can't beat that level - because this will involve losing a fair amount of money!! If the monetary amounts are fairly meaningless to you, ignore them. Treat it like the challenge of trying to get to the next level of a video game
I'll likely do something similar, but I'm unlikely to jump in at $0.02/$0.04. I don't really play good poker at that level because I don't take the amounts seriously. Getting a suckout is funner than making a good fold, and worth some additional risk above what the pot is offering.
I'll land somewhere in the small stakes range and figure it out. I'll probably doink around at the different structures a bit to see what tickles my pickle. I just don't want to find out later I was begging for trouble by overplaying my bankroll. Despite my penchant for placing wagers, I am not much of a gambler. I also like a good bankroll theory discussion, whether it be poker or sports betting. Peace,

If you're playing FR limit, I'm pretty sure you'll beat .5/1.
