Hi guys,

one serious question: How long did you played till you were able even to think about getting regular income by playing poker?

How long did it take till you had your first income of poker?

i realized that this forum is kind of sleeping, its sad.

The question is more than a little vague, and as posed any answers probably wouldn't help you much. For what it's worth..

I had my first "income" at poker pretty much right from the start - I only ever deposited new money into poker once (and that was $50). Income in the sense that I could (irregularly) withdraw money from poker and use it for other things probably didn't happen for about 12 months after I started playing seriously. Regular income in any meaningful sense - pretty much never; even then my weekly / monthly (and to some degree annual) earn was up-and-down like a yo-yo.

But I started playing online poker in 2005 and the world is a very different place now.

I found your question unanswerable. I made money right away, but I used it to build my bankroll and play higher stakes.

The meaning of the question is more like "how long did you play till you were able to throw your work away?"
Also Poker is a nice game, there are things like cars, meals, partys which have to be paid by something and you use your poker-money or not?

Sure for me it's not much different, still have earnings too, but i'm for example not able to resignate my normal work =life money

But here is life! Yeah!

Relatively few of us have quit working and only played poker for a living. I'm not one of them.

Took me quite a few years...but I never took it serious enough to speed up the process. Plus, I had a lot of growing up to do in order to not let tilt destroy my bankroll.

I imagine someone with little experience could make a decent living from poker in less than 1 year...but not everyone...your personality and characteristics have a lot to due with success and lack there of in poker.

Nice answer kid,

i find myself often enough in a bad shape and i'm really working hard for that (it's even funny to write it in present progressive style) but either i had my tilt-time or it goes so slowly step by step that i focuse to hard on the present session to get "something".

I'm really lucky with the Poker Mindset which always shows me that there is only one man who barrels you from winnings and thats yourself.
