Because I used to play duplicate bridge, I welcomed the chance to learn about duplicate poker. It’s certainly different, and I enjoyed playing the game and interviewing Dan Goldman, the VP of Marketing for duplicatepoker-dot-com.

Barry Tanenbaum is the author of “Advanced Limit Hold’em Strategies” and collaborator on “Limit Hold’em: Winning Short-handed Strategies.” Before becoming a poker pro, he was a high-level duplicate bridge player. He will co-host this show and others.

Dan was the VP of Marketing for Poker Stars, and he told some fascinating stories about Chris Moneymaker and his other experiences at Poker Stars.

Nolan Dalla, Media Director for the WSOP and Poker Stars, has taken that role for duplicate poker. He was in the studio when we talked, but declined to be interviewed because “with you, Barry, and Dan there I wouldn’t get a word in edgewise.”
