8-Game ladder - 100% Overlay

Postby clabbers » Oct 16 2008

Just to stimulate interest in Other Poker Games, I'm offering a $2.00 PokerStars funds transfer as first and only prize for a Best Online Tournament Result in 8-Game between now and 11:59 PM Eastern time October 31, 2008. Best result is tournament winnings-full price of entry. Ties go to best ROI, second tiebreaker is earliest post. I will be competing for the prize I offer. 8-Game tournaments are currently offered only by PokerStars to my knowledge, and Single or Multi table tournaments are eligible. Info needed to qualify for prize is tournament #, time, date, cost of entry, winnings, screenname. You must have 25 quality posts at the time you start the tournament. If you post here requesting a waiver of the 25 post rule, I may reduce it explicitly and publically in this forum, but not for a tournament you have already played. (You still get my congratulations.)

Not enough mixed game interest on this site for the challenge. I love the 8-game STTs myself. But a $2 prize? Eh.

Wait a minute, just read the post again. I only play the small stakes games so I'm at a huge disadvantage in the winnings-entry formula. It should be ROI to determine the winner.

I'm cool with it however we do it. I'd just like to see more mixed game play. I'd do better with dollars because I can only play a couple of events, but I'm easy.

If you're only playing in a few events, shouldn't you prefer ROI as well? ROI evens the playing field between buyin levels and amount of play. If we're willing to play for ROI then I'm in. And hopefully I can count my 1st and 2nd place finishes from last night...

I'm OK with ROI first and profit as tiebreaker. Bring it on JM, congrats on the good start.

I'm not an 8 game player type, but wanted to say "good on ya" for setting this up Clabbers I frequent many of the HORSE games around, and do like to see more mixed game talk.

I'll see if I can dig up the tourney #'s. Had another 2nd place last night too.

Anyone else going to post some results?

Yes, I've just come back from a business trip and have family in this weekend, but I'll be trying to score up a winner on Tuesday if not sooner.
