Hi,
Does anyone play this and, if so, how easy is it to beat? Also, which sites offer it? I'm thinking of trying it out as a change but it looks a bit frightening.
Thanks for any help.

5 card stud.Hi,
Does anyone play this and, if so, how easy is it to beat? Also, which sites offer it? I'm thinking of trying it out as a change but it looks a bit frightening. Thanks for any help. simmo5050 Slade: How the hell did you know I didn't have the king or the ace?
Lancey Howard: I recollect a young man putting the same question to Eddie the Dude. "Son," Eddie told him, "all you paid was the looking price. Lessons are extra."
The only place I have seen it was on Bodog - I did play it a bit there, and it was nice for a change, but not really that fun in the long run. Also it is not easy on the eyes to play any stud games on Bodog because the cards are so small on the screen.

I've never seen it online but I have played it a bit in my youth (actually one of the first games I ever played. My grandfather used to like it).
It's interesting but it doesn't have the kind of action that seven card stud does nor the nuances in the reading of hands, etc. If you were weened on hold em, this game will get old quick for you. Also, you really aren't going to find anything written about the game since it has been played regularly in several decades. "A parent's only as good as their dumbest kid. If one wins a Nobel Prize but the other gets robbed by a hooker, you failed."

You can play 5 card stud at
http://www.pokerihuone.com/ It is called Sökö there (I'm not sure what the english version of the site says). Sökö is widely played in Finland and is a kind of national game of us. Check the rules, they may vary a bit.
