I don't like the call on the flop. What is beating you? Sets. Unlikely two pair. There are draws around the 43 and of course flush draw. Raise and find out and to charge the draws.
The turn raise is good.

The turn is a raise for sure, and the flop is probably a raise as well. I would also be raising this pre-flop more often than not.

Well I would not raise this preflop, especially not oop - because imo it pretty much has no value except if it hits the set or the nutflush.
And position is everything in shorthanded games.

He is out of position so I think his flop-bet into the field indicates some strength.
Now you try to float him oop. I would not do that at these limits, I think those guys call to much. I would definately give him credit for 2pair or the nutflushdraw or something like that. But I don't know this guy, so maybe your idea was right.

The turn was kinda lucky ;-)
I would not try to C/R here, because he could just check behind.
Which is what he could do if he had air and your float had worked. But now he pots it again, seems like you are lucky. Anyway the raise is good, you are pretty much godlike.

How did the hand turn out?

Looks fine to me.

Our hand is pretty meh and nobody folds to a raise here, so I prefer to check, but we do have some nut potential multiway in the form of top set/boat, so I don't mind a raise to build a 4way pot - you could easily have the implied odds needed to set/boat mine, against these guys.

I just call flop. I'd rather not put in a lot with a hand that is probably a dog, against a guy who is probably never folding after betting pot into four people.

Turn is fine.

Seems good to me.

Raising the flop doesn't do much. Villain probably isn't folding, and I don't really want to build a pot OOP with such thin value.

Yeah the villain shows a lot of strength on the flop, raising is in my opinion overplaying your hand. You still have too good a hand to fold, so check-calling is the best option. I might also (depending on the villain) check-call many turn cards (not the king of course), and check-fold the river unimproved.

Preflop is definitely a check at this point and not a raise. Flop case is more debatable but I lean more to the check-call. No need to lead and no reason to raise. Imagine you 're being reraised! You 'll have to fold and lose a lot of equity!

Turn play is fine also and I prefer check-raising here than leading. If he is bluffing he may fire another one cause K there shouldnt help you that much (instead he can pretend it improved him), thus you win one more bet, and if he feels strong with a set for example he wont think he is behind and even if he does he ll find a hard time folding it (especially JJxx). Of course you run the risk of his checking behind but this isnt that bad cause I dont think there are many cards that can hurt you now.
Only two things are infinite; the universe and human stupidity, and I 'm not sure about the former!

as played, turn is definitely a raise

as played on flop, turn i probably will lead out unless opponent is very aggressive and bluffy.

regarding the flop check-call, i don't like reverse float...but i think here, we are calling for implied odds rather than reverse float. his flop bet range isn't wide, and we do expect he will call in later street when we make our hand by lead out on both street (he should call one at least). if his flop bet range is wide, i would prefer to check-raise.
