Omaha Poker: Where to find the best Internet Poker traffic!

Postby Piscivorous » May 19 2009

In anticipation of Jeff Hwang's new Omaha poker book due out this summer, we have created a new Omaha page here at ITH. It's a basic synopsis of the sites [and networks] with the best overall traffic for internet Omaha poker. In addition, we have listed out our top 4 to 5 sites based on traffic, softness of games and variability in each of tournaments, SnGs and cashgames. Imbedded in each site logo represented is a quick link to the website in general for new players [or old] who might not yet have an account at a site.

There is some interesting stuff there. You can find the new page here.

It'll take a few days for us to get the new links going on the ITH frontpage, so for now, that it the only portal into our new Omaha page.

Good luck and remember: You only get to play two of your cards.

We're going to be doing some work on this page over the next few days so will be broken/down for a while. Hopefully next week we'll have a nice PLO section up.

Why are you advertising Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet on the page "Pot Limit Omaha Poker Room Reviews : Best Internet Poker traffic for all types of games!"

I understood that these specific sites had a "less than stellar" reputation...

Please explain.

I play PLO25 and PLO50 and it's almost everywhere good. On iPoker network about 7-9 pm GMT there are a lot of tables with avg. pot of more than 50bb. Same on Everest, but here it sometimes continues into the night. I also started playing on Prima/mocrogaming and altough there aren't many tables, the players are really bad. I also heard the same about entraction (npIQ, devilfish...).

Here's a good reference point for different sites offering Omaha:

I'm just a break-even donk stuck in the Micros.

Merge is getting to be a great place for omaha... always a decent number of PLO50, PLO100, and 200-400 games when I log on.

I don't play tons of online poker, myself. I have a site or two I've tried, but I'm a big hesitant. It's for the reasons you guys are mentioning. It seems like every-other site is full of bad reps, crappy players or horrible ads. Any advice on that?

My favourite site to play omaha is Full Tilt Poker simply because they're not only people currently offering Rush. Once you get used to it it's just far too addictive. You know how when you get used to online poker playing live seems crazy slow? Well now online poker seems slow compared to rush!

Bluefire Poker is the best video site for PLO imo, I used to be subbed to Deuces Cracked but I wasn't really watching videos enough to justify staying at both and although I think DC is the better site overall, BFP pegs it for Omaha content.

"Pot Limit Omaha Strategies" is a decent site for basic strategy articles for newer players. That was the site I began on.

Hi I have visited the page, really good job done. The Omaha poker page seems to be very well developed and techniques explained to play Omaha poker are beneficial. Updating a site with this page will surly help to fetch more Omaha players very soon. Thanks.
