A PLO hand i was in....

Postby betidiots1 » Aug 26 2010

Hi, To whom it may help me out, Jeff/anyone

I recently bought your book jeff advanced PLO, great book!!
In the book there is a section on SPR as this situation isnt in the list and i was wondering if i made a mistake in jamming the pot, recently i was in a hand online 6 handed i was dealt A spade 7 spade Q diamond 8 club on the cut off everyone limped the sb folded bb checked flop Q hearts 5 spade 6 spade, bb leads out pot he has 51 SPR the 2 limpers fold i have open ended and nut flush draw with top pair i have 31 SPR, i wasnt sure whether to jam it in this situation or not i decided to he raised pot i went all in he called he had middle set i hit my flush and won, but was i correct in jamming it or should i of just called this player was a fairly aggressive player when he 3 bet me on the flop was i correct to shove also?

Thank you very much if anyone can help me out :D

31 SPR is pretty deep, but I guess your hand was strong enough for jamming it HU.

Yeah, in this situation I think you start thinking about your own hand equity. You have 19 nut outs post flop.

That said you are extremely deep.

IMO I would flat here since the bettor has already isolated and got this pot HU. I could definitely be wrong though. The more I even think about it, jamming may be correct because if you flat and brick the turn you are still drawing so live you are going to be calling anyways based on your equity in the hand. Yeah, I feel like this is a hand that you can really go either way with. Wishy washy answer I kno. :)

Side question to this question, what if one or both of the other players calls. Would we raise or call? I am picturing arguments for and against for both sides.

i will definitely raise this one, since our draw are to the nuts.
also when so deep, you can raise much more hands, to put pressure on your opponent
