But what would the recaps look like if 49ers make they two point attempt with 2:11 remaining? My guess is overtime.

What if Graham had actually been tackled on the last Saint touchdown? My guess is the Saints would have won by eating up more time before the TD. Brees was amazing. Then certainly I wouldn't have read this: With no running game to help out, Drew Brees faced heavy pressure from the 49ers defense Well that was true but all you would have heard is what a miracle worker Brees is when it counts. Kind of funny though. Had it gone into OT Brees would likely have passed for more than 500 yards.

Yeah it was amazing. Oh yeah, Alex Smith can't play.

You get that often in a game like a Brady/Manning shootout, where no one wants to score with 1:30 left, but you never think that would apply to Smith!

Funny game. Had it been inside two minutes instead of just outside of it...then Smith should have "kneeled down" on the 1 yd line ala Westbrook. But with Brees on the other side even 1 minute left is too much. Saints had a time out. Plus the 2 minute warning. They would only get the clock down to about 1 minute left, and then they would only be ahead by less than a field goal. Have to score and hope the defense holds them...err or not, as long as it's quick.

Then it comes up again with Graham scoring. But the Saints were down by more than 3, so it's a no brainer to score at that point. Like nside said...it's Smith. What a 4th quarter for Brees, but history will never give him the credit he deserves. Just that he's 0-3 on the road in the playoffs.

I must admit Chris, a lot of those same thoughts were going through my head at the conclusion of the game. So many 'what ifs' involving various scenarios of team deliberately kneeling down on the o.5 yrd line and whatever, which may or may not have achieved a different result.
