I'm not particularly knowledgeable about (real) football but I'm able to enjoy and compete in FF leagues because you can mostly get by with form analysis, strategy and a willingness to learn.

Is this similar? I know there is a draft process that I have absolutely no idea about, but would I be able to pick this up enough to enjoy it without any prior knowledge of the game if I'm willing to learn?

Looks like we have 8 or so interested so far. Who typically runs this? We need to get at least 10 for an interesting League.

What kind of a time commitment would this take to finish in the middle of the pack?

We had a bunch on the league site who don't post here much any more. I think we even have a commissioner. I need to go look at it. Darvon?

I'm definitely still interested in being in the league. However, I don't have the time/energy to be commissioner. Pretty sure someone else volunteered to take over, but I can't remember who!
