You're freaking me out. LSU plays Arkansas, not Auburn (and then presumably Georgia). I'm pretty sure if LSU beats Arkansas, they will stay at #2 even if they lose to Georgia. If they lose to Arkansas, they will not stay at #2 over both Alabama and Arkansas.

I have heard analysis that if LSU loses to Ark, AND Bama beats Auburn, then Bame goes to 1 and LSU, due to strenght of sched goes to 2, Ark at 3.

I'm reading about that now. Apparently no one has any idea what will happen.

It depends on if the polls swing so hard that it swamps the computers

I was snoozing too...ok I'm awake now.

This year couldn't have been worse. If Boise St. had just beaten TCU then, when Alabama and LSU were still picked as the top 2, there would have been lots of discussion. Boise St, with a perfect record, had ZERO chance of outranking Bama.

OSU not so much. If they had beat Iowa St then they would have played in the Championship game. Go back and look at that field goal that missed. Very hard to tell whether or not it was good. Those refs determined the National Championship Game. Not that I have a problem with that...they made the call on the field.

What a horrid season. Probably watch the Rose Bowl, and watch Arkansas since have to be able to respond to dank. That's it.

The kinda funny thing is that if Alabama wins by a point or something and it was the regular season, I think LSU should still have the best ranking. LSU has more quality wins and a season split with 'bama.

I do agree that if Boise went perfect, they'd still be out of the picture.

What is amazing is that a +1 is in the works.

The variations of what that +1 actually is, is highly variable, depending if you are talking to Delaney or Staples.

I fear that the actual +1 implemented in 2014 season won't be a 2-level playoff at all. But we will see.

Bottom line is that it would be nice if the frigging D1A had someone behind the steering wheel.

The number of "must see" games went RADICALLY down this year, as did the ratings.

Pac-12 Commish is doing amazing things. Delaney is doing prehistoric things. We will see if the Big 4 can keep the curtain up for the rest of the decade.
