9/11 Conspiracy theoriesHi all
You know me and my conspiracy theories ... most poker sites have had it in for me ... especially the big American ones !! Anyways .. over the last couple of weeks ive been watching these on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMfXQSnPs-4 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-iVdEXdM ... re=related Being from the UK, i watched 9/11 on TV and was shocked as anyone else... But id like to know what you americans think of these conspiracy theories , and what was the general response to such videos over in the USA ? Was there outrage or was it basically debunked like most conspiracy theories ? Green = happy and playing , Yellow = disgruntled and slighty miffed but still playing, Orange = Narked big style, fed up and contemplating future, Red = dont talk to me, screw everything and this game can get lost, im Retired !. Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesIt may be off topic but I still remember my wifes reaction to that day.
Me "Have you seen that on the telly about the Twin Towers?" Her "Yes, but the kids have been little shits today......" I went out that evening and came back about 11.30 when she was sat on the settee convinced the world was about to end. Appears she thought the footage of 2 planes flying into 2 sky scrapers was some afternoon film and she was much more concerned about our offsprings behaviour. After several hours of news specials she had a different view! Oh and my reaction to conspiracy theories over this is if the the powers that be wanted to create some hysteria over this they could have caused much less damage than they did for the same effect. To infirmity and beyond
Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesThe theories that surround 9/11 are as vast as the Pacific Ocean. IMHO, most of these people are folks who just want hits on a website they put together with 9/11 stock footage.
Sure, there are things that seem weird. In theory you can make anything possible. But to state that Bush and his government was involved, let alone solely responsible, is absurd. Theorists state time and again what an evil, clueless, buffoon Bush is. Yet they think he could put together something of this magnitude. Without out one single person in the entire vast range of both govt and NON-govt people who would have had to been involved for it to happen to come forward and blow the whistle. Sorry. Just doesnt work. Then again, I would have sworn Tiger Woods was the model of decency. So maybe Bush had the whole thing pre-programmed on some super secret PlayStation3 hooked into the White House and he flew the planes himself. Evil Bastard... Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theories
The folks who believe in these theories are entitled to their opinions...I've never met one though. If I did, I wouldn't bother arguing with them.
The conspiracy theories were never actually taken seriously from a mainstream media standpoint. If they were, there would probably be some outrage. At least from me
Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesYou lot surprise me a little ...
the 911 mysteries series ( 2nd link ) .... i watched all 10 episodes of that and it was basically about how the towers came down .. If i was american ... the things they where saying would make me very suspicious indeed .. I dont see how a single impact of a jet liner at near the top can bring down such a building. Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesNice one kinni ...
I look forward to reading all that and then debunking the debunking I will not let this rest ! ... i will find the truth.. Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesThat is what makes me laugh. The evidence is examined by experts but theorists state that they are part of the cover up....anyone who doesnt agree with them is in on it...anyone who agrees with them is a "source"...

Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesAs a member of the vast military-industrial complex I can assure you that it is far more likely to find Starbucks on Mars than to learn that the US carried out an operation like this. We can't even torture bad guys without detailed accounts appearing on the internet, blowing up tons of our own people would leak from a hundred places. If there were only 10 people in the world who knew about this, 5 of 'em would have talked by now. Furthermore, its unimaginably dumb. If we wanted to invade Afghanistan that badly, we could have used a much thinner pretext to do it. It wouldn't have required making a huge crater in the heart of NYC.
Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesThe logical hoops one has to jump through and knots one has to twist himself in to believe the 911 conspiracy theories simply hurt the brain. So much easier to accept the pancaking explanation. Just as a for instance – if a shadowy team of conspirators had wired explosives into the structure of the buildings to finish what the planes started, would they really have had the patience to wait 102 minutes to pull the switches that brought the north tower down (8.46 am to 10:28 am) ? And wouldn’t they have brought the north tower down first since it was the first one to be hit (the south tower was hit at 9:03 am and collapsed at 9:59) ?
I’m not a conspiracy theorist guy, especially when you realize how fallible even the sharpest of us are and how tricky a matter coordination can be. But there is one popular controversy for which I don’t buy in to the standard explanation and this is actually the reason I posted… When I watch the Zapruder film of the Kennedy assassination, I just can’t accept that the final and climactic shot came from up and behind – from the Texas School Book Depository where Lee Harvey Oswald was stationed. Surely that shot came from the right or in front of the President. However, if there is anyone amongst the sober elite here at ITH who has witnessed that film and still believes that shot came from Oswald and has a credible explanation for it, I wouldn't mind hearing it. Thread hijack acknowledged but perhaps the more the merrier when it comes to conspiracy theory discussion.
Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesI heard that everything aint real... like we are all just the thoughts inside a giant somebody floating through space in another dimension.... our thoughts are are thoughts of thoughts...
is that true? "It is not what you are called, but what you answer to"

Pinto: Okay. That means that...our whole solar system...could be, like... Prof. Jennings: One tiny atom in the fingernail of some other giant being. Pinto: This is too much! Pinto: That means...-one tiny atom in my fingernail could be-- Prof. Jennings: -Could be one little...tiny universe. (stoned pause) Pinto: Could l buy some pot from you? Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesThis is a disturbing topic as my older brother is a 911truther. Which I find surprising and shocking as he is an egnineer and a very smart fellow. He is into the several other conspriacies, Bilerberg's and the oddest one that Bush, Clinton and many others are Nazis. My head almost exploded and I changed the subject. It has put a distance between us and for that I am sad. I have no idea, as I've never delved into, nor do I really think it would reveal the truth, how he got sucked into this stuff. It is all so much smoke and mirrors and anything that doesn't line up is further proof of the conspiracy.

Re: 9/11 Conspiracy theoriesBased on the majority of the evidence that I have seen gathered and examined, in both past times and in present day, leads me to believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Oswald acted alone.
Most of North America takes Oliver Stones JFK as the basis for suspicion. There is so much dramatic license taken in this movie it is comical. Even Stone himself, when he was HARD PRESSED, admitted that he did take some small liberties to make the movie work better. Now, don't misunderstand me. I firmly believe that Oswald was the only one who fired on the motorcade. What I am not saying, is why he did it. Did he do it for his own personal reasons? Maybe. Could he have been the chosen one by some group/govt? Sure. Lots of people hated Kennedy. There could very well be a conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy. In fact, imo I will go so far as to state that I firmly believe there is a 99% probability that such a conspiracy occurred. But the actual shooting was done by one single person. Splitting hairs? Maybe. But to prove or disprove something, all of the evidence must be taken into account. And the evidence points to the fact that Oswald acted alone.
