Did I let you guys/gals down?

Postby Soultwister » Jun 28 2009

I just got busted out of the random book donkament from ITH, and got busted. I wonder if i could have done anything different since I thought I was the face of this section of the forum (the other people probably are from the donkament/limit/sng forums).

Here are the two key hands in which I lost the most chips. Do I disappoint you guys or did I play them optimally?

Hand 1:

No Limit Holdem Tournament
6 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG cherrytree41 (1415)
UTG+1 SharkbaitUK (820)
CO Hero (2005)
BTN renereal (800)
SB ShadowRdr (1230)
BB ik333 (2730)

Blinds: 25/50

Pre-flop: (75, 6 players) Hero is CO :3h :5s
2 folds, Hero raises to 125, 1 fold, ShadowRdr calls 100, ik333 raises to 350, Hero calls 225, ShadowRdr raises to 1,200, ik333 folds, Hero says "wtf", Hero goes all-in 2,005, ShadowRdr goes all-in 30

Flop: :4d :td :9s (3,585, 2 players)

Turn: :3c (3,585, 2 players)

River: :4c (3,585, 2 players)

Final Pot: 2,810
ShadowRdr shows: :ah :ad
Hero shows: :3h :5s

ShadowRdr wins 2,810 ( won +1,580 )
Hero wins 775 ( lost -1,230 )
ik333 lost -350

Standard bad beat, AA rivering a blank vs 53o.

Hand 2:

Pokerstars is weird. It really needs a click-it-back button.

What did you have here? Your comment after my flop bet made me think you wanted to play, and I have no idea if you were just toying with me. The size of your turn bet looked designed to just mess with me, but I figured I could easily end up stacking off with second pair here so dumped it.

As for representing this forum, I definitely bust before you. Your second HH suggests you outlasted Llan, which Fenris will tell you is always a good idea :-).

Whoohoo. If I outlasted Llan, I got bragging rights, that's a win! What book were we playing for again?

I could sleep well now, if I did not sleep till 4pm today!

 I was shafted as usuall ... I was going allong smoothly until my AJ got beat by QQ after i flopped the A.

Add a couple of 60/40 going the wrong way and its adios from me ..

I really will make an attempt to play in the next ITH league .. I think thats where the bragging rights should be dished out

I allready have the book .. and if i had got into the last 3 .. i would have given my book to whoever finished 4th ...

But still .... i hate losing
Green = happy and playing , Yellow = disgruntled and slighty miffed but still playing, Orange = Narked big style, fed up and contemplating future, Red = dont talk to me, screw everything and this game can get lost, im Retired !. God knows what Black means

Same here, that I beat you allows me to sleep well tonight, and the book, wtf, it's an Ed Miller book. His series on stox is ok, but I'm past that. I don't need his book, I need bragging rights.

When is the next ITH league?

Still, just to put it in your face, I'll sleep really, really comfortable tonight knowing I outlasted you. My night will start around 8am though, since I woke up at 4Pm today.

Im not sure when the next ITH league will start up ..I will have to enquire about that one ..

However ...

During last nights ITH MTT .. i did not put enough effort into outlasting you believing that i would not gain enough bragging rights to make it worthwhile ..

But now that you have thrown it back into my face .. well ... can of worms springs to mind ..

Looks like a wager is in order once the ITH league starts ...
