Introduction and advice on bankroll building

Postby nesyehg » Mar 29 2011

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to introduce myself.

I'm a low limit NL player from Belgium looking to build up a bankroll. Sitting on about 600$ at the moment built up from 100$. Playing mostly 25nl with some 50nl depending on the softness of the games.

One of the main things I was looking for was any advice anyone could give on bankroll building?

Ive done quite a bit of reading up on it and have seen the importance of playing within your bankroll, not getting carried away with bonus chasing, not being afraid to move down again. Any other top tips I should be following?

I was also wondering if anyone had a good list of bonuses that are realistically clearable for someone with my bankroll? (playing about 5-6 hours a day). I have seen countless websites recommending different bonuses but have no idea which sites advice I should be trusting.

ps Im not entirely sure if this was the appropriate place to post all this but please feel free to tell me to move it, should it not be.

Hello nesyehg,

Welcome to ITH!

Where do you play now and where have you played? I can't tell you where the best bonuses are until I know which ones you have already cleared.

For NL cash game play I suggest:

15 buy-ins if you have no problem re-loading, ie., you have a job or steady income and can replace your losses
25 buy-ins if you can reload occasionally.
45-50 buy-ins if you cannot easily replace a lost bankroll or if you are endeavoring for turning this into a part-time to full-time job.

Good Luck
