I am your new Forum Manager

Postby taz115 » May 29 2006

I have replaced RiverCascade as the Forum Manager for the New Member forum. She has taken on the task of reorganizing the Site Review forum.

I’d like to welcome any new members reading this and encourage any non-members to get involved. I lurked here at ITH for about two months feeling insecure about asking questions or making comments. Here is my first post.

Once I got involved here I really started to get value out of asking questions, playing in the leagues and occasional cash games. Chatting with other ITHers on IRC was also a great way to learn and cheer each other on. So I really encourage lurkers to make an intro post and get involved. My questions were always answered genuinely here, even though some of them were quite funny looking back.

I’d also like to thank RC for all of the work she has done in welcoming new members and keeping this forum organized and useful.

If you have any questions feel free to post them up or send me a private message (PM).

Taz, you might want to get Matthew to update the Affiliate post below as Ammbo no longer works here

Coolies, nice one taz :)

I looked at your first post you linked

The members should be happy to know that over that time I've been using the articles, tools and advice at this site I've gone from not knowing if a Flush or Full House was higher to really loving poker.

I always remember that the only time a flush beats a full house is in the restroom ;)

And a spiffy, bang-up job you're doing, too! You were always so generous with your replies here that I knew you'd make an excellent mod for this forum. And, not only here, but I appreciate the questions you ask and attention you pay, to other threads you come across anywhere in the house. Thanks for stepping up, Taz.

Regards,

Thanks for the link to your first post Taz. I think it makes things a lot easier on us recent arrivals being reminded that everyone was new at one point.

Congrats on the position and keep up the good work! :D

Thanks for the heads-up Pie. I did post about it in the mod forum but it must not have been updated by the site admin. I'll bring it to the attention of Albert again.

No it was not me. taz is actually a fairly common nickname in poker. T.A.Z are my intials and I picked it before I realized it was more associated with maniacal play.

Nope just some random numbers to look cool 8)

I think plain old 'taz' was taken on party, not suprising.
