What you are not getting is the difference between a bluffer and a donk. I was at a cash table a few nights ago and we had a loose canon donk playing all kinds of fool hands and he was hitting lucky. I made a $2.00 pre flop raise with Ak to shake him off but he called with a 5-7 off suit. That's a donk - OH YA - I hit 2 pair but he beat me with a str.

That's a donk. Sure sometimes you can beat em but the frustrating part is they hit more than not. Donks are people who play with crap cards & don't screen their hands. They like to play bingo & see what hits. Sure - I've knocked out many too but the poker sites are flooded with them and now its near impossible to sit in on a a good game, cash or tournament.

As for your calling A-8, you had a 50-50 chance and you took a chance and won. That has nothing to do with a donk.

Dabne.... no offence but you really do not understand poker.... the players you are complaining about are the ones you make money from... seriously... it is that simple... if you are not making money of them then I am afraid to say that you are not a good poker player....

Your the one not getting it. The point is ONLINE poker has gone for crap because every one & his dog is getting in on the game and there is no screening or control. Absolutely anyone can sign up & play and the donks now grossly outnumber the serious players. I can handle one or two at a table no problem but, not when more than half at the table are skewing the game towards bingo.

When that happens its pure hit & miss odds on every hand. You think your so hot that you can knock out a table of donks online? I highly doubt it. At a real table anyone could but, online, they are impossible to read.

I want a site where real poker with skilled players take it seriously. It's not complicated.

Dabne, the problem you have is that most of us played when online poker was really full of donks. It was a license to print money. I would sell Pauli's left hand to have those kind of tables again. The point people are trying to make is that if you are having trouble beating players because they are bad, you are making some very serious mistakes and have some very serious misunderstandings about poker. I understand that taking bad beats is frustrating sometimes, but you should focus on trying to learn what you did wrong in those hands. Perhaps you might find that you could have lost a little less when they get those lucky hands. More importantly, you will almost certainly find that you could have made more than you did on hands you won against those donks.

So my dream would be that you could have your site that eliminates those donks. However, they would all be relocated to a site that accepts Americans whose government found better things to do with their time and I could outdonk the folks you sent my way.
