I'm constantly surprised by how light players with less than 8BB will raise UTG rather than go through the blinds. AQs looks good enough although I'd raise here given the stack size of the SB but I'd be prepared to listen to arguments suggesting a call is ok.
To infirmity and beyond
Its ok it just sucks when the SB wakes up with a monster and your busto. If you raise small your saying your serious about your hand and he can then only shuv with QQ+ and maybe AK if he wants to gamble. Regarding BB even if you just call the UTG's shuv your prob gonna be in a horrid spot if he then jams so i think isolating is best. Your play isnt bad i think putting in a small raise just saves your tourney life like the 1% or 2% the SB has the nuts IMO.
You're definitely playing this pot for 8 BB. I think a push is overkill and I'd rather see a 3 bet raise. You can make it a little more than the minimum and be fine. Villian's are reasonably deep and don't need to get crazy unless they have really big hands.
