MP1 (t12755)
MP2 (t10587)
MP3 (t8421)
CO (t15755)

Hero's M: 13.94

Preflop: Hero is BB with :9c, :tc
UTG bets t600, 4 folds, CO calls t600, Button calls t600, SB calls t450, Hero calls t300

Flop: (t3450) :th, :jh, :td (5 players)
SB checks, Hero bets t1885, UTG raises to t3770, CO calls t3770, 1 fold, SB calls t3770, Hero?

No real solid reads on my opponents. Although the CO is quite loose.

What does everyone do here?

Could i be beat here? Is my kicker too weak?

Ugh ugh ugh.

I'm guessing you're ahead of UTG (overpair perhaps) but two callers as well? Hm. I think you have to seriously consider at least one other set of trips in the field, which means the turn is absolutely fraught - you could be drawing thin or dead now, and even if not there are plenty of scare cards. Being mostly OOP really sucks as well.

In the cold light of day I'm even wondering if it's insane to fold right here and now on the flop.

That would be one hell of a fold. I mean that as a positive comment.

As stated, it's about as ugly as it gets and screams that Grim has sat at your table.

While I can certainly see a fold to live and fight on, I think I have to see the turn then re-asses.

I like shoving more than calling - I'm not sure what card I want to see on the turn other than the case T

Could easily be a FD or SD out there - maybe a PP or a J - its not necessarily doom and gloom

The problem is the only way of finding out if we're toast is to shove - and against this many opponents it could be too big a risk. The only advantage is the one player to be squeezed is the only one who showed strength by min-raising, if we could get through him then my only concern would be the SB slow playing JJ.

It's close but in the heat of the battle I know I'd shove this!

That is where the problem occurs. Shoving here is the worst option IMO because it clearly shows our hand strength of at least trips. Even with the draw heavy board, I think that I have to flat this min raise while seriously considering folding.

I actually folded.

Looking back it, it's a really tight fold. And i don't know whether i would do it again. I was really afraid of my kicker. And i was pretty sure at least one player here would have a ten. And that it would be a bigger kicker than a ten.

If i remember correctly, i folded and UTG shoved, with the CO calling. The CO showed T9o and UTG showed AA.

I think folding is OK but probably not optimal. I hate it either way but with an M<15 I think I have to go with this. You are correct, Rad, to be worried about the kicker. Tough one.

I think if the buyin was higher you have to seriously consider folding this. But not when the buyin is just $10. Learn from your mistakes!
