To make sure I'm thinking about this right, I'm OK with getting as many bets in on the flop as possible as long as I can keep it 3 or 4-way, so the check-call-cap is correct here?

As played you played it fine getting multiple bets in with good equity.
One thing you may want to consider in a large pot is the c/3b IF you feel that utg will fold a hand like AK or KJ for two bets coming back. Giving yourself some extra outs is pretty good in a big pot.

This is a very good point. I was trying to find a way to justify a c/3b; thanks for providing it ;)

Would there be any reason not to 3-bet with (a) Axs (b) Q/Jxs (without making a pair on the flop)?
