Three tournament wins!Well I've got the thirst to grind back since I played the EPT in Berlin and I've won three tournaments.
Stars - 40 turbo - $4,594 Party - 150 - $9,450 Cake - 30r - $2,400 The Stars one was over 7 days ago, so no Triple Crown - but it does mean I've got until Tuesday 8pm UK time to win any tournament on Stars, Tilt, Bodog, ipoker or Absolute. Day off tomorrow and then operation Triple Crown kicks in. Wish me luck!
It kinda varies - the last two months I've only been playing tournaments one day a week but now I'm in full on grind mode.
I play 8-12 tables at once over a range of sites. I have a list of all the tournaments that are on and when I bust one I pull another up. Yesterday I put in a 12 hour session which is not usual but I was feeling like grinding. So yeah let's hope I run good from tomorrow onwards!
I think it needs to be pointed out that of the 50 threads on the first page of Winner's Circle, about 10 were started by Phil and all refer to substantial wins.
You, sir, are an animal. "I shall never retire!" - Llanlad
By God, I'll drink to that... Poker is a test of your skill against your opponents luck.
The hunt continues.
Tonight I lost hu in the $50 1r1a on Cereus - The guy who I played heads up with was really good and played really unexploitably and his calling and shoving ranges were excellent - he started with a 2:1 chiplead and I couldn't overcome it despite some ups and downs. Still got just under $2k but I was absolutely gutted. Also finished 13th in the Bodog 100k - have been superhot in that one lately but quietwinner got there with his AQ vs my AK in a huge pot. Had a few other runs but these were the closest. Feeling pretty frustrated but there's still tomorrow and a lot of Tuesday to get the crown...
Ugh - 2nd can be frustrating sometimes. GL tomorrow!!!!!!!!
