I chopped the Caesar's Senior Tournament!

Postby chrisjp » Apr 18 2011

My first live tournament this year. The DOJ finally got me off my duff and into the casinos.

So we started with 129 old geezers.

We got down to 4 remaining and the guy with the most chips offered to split 1st through 4th equally. Yes, four way even split even though he had double my stack.

So what that I was the shortest stack--I had lots of chips, but they were the smallest denomination at the time. "OK let's do it. Now we can go to bed." 8)

We all got $4190 on a $240 entry.

I'll take it!

I know, they gave me about $700 in "free money". That's my chopping crowning achievement.

BTW it was 7:30pm. But we had to start at 10am so we had played a long long time.

Going to write up a tournament report. Got to do something with the extra time.

That's a great deal you got yourself there. Seniors are often good at hand reading, but obviously not so hot at ICM.

Got the rules of the Seniors Event at Bellagio tomorrow. All the other tournaments are two days, and you play until 3am (or the Final Table) Day 1. The Seniors you start at noon and play until about 7pm Day 1, then you come back Day 2 and play until about 8pm (because you didn't start until 1pm) and then the finals are Day 3. Good grief!
