no - there are many ways and approaches towards poker riches and successes. However good math skills can help you to develop and improve your game and approach as well as understand the more mathematical theories that there are of the game.

To contextualise - if you take the main books on poker that go just a little bit beyond the basics ie Harrington on Holdem - you can read this book, apply the strategy and potentially make money without being able to do more than basic addition, subtraction and simple multiplication.

Much of poker is about analysis of players to predict the actions that they will make, what hands they are likely to have and how you can best exploit this info. I know of profitable players with very little maths skill. However maths can really help you to create your own playing style (rather than copying the style in a book) and ensuring it should be maximising your profitability.
