Cashout Tournaments

Postby Damien » Mar 21 2010

Does anybody play these?

I play them on Full Tilt when they are available and I like them. I often find myself getting past the bubble in an MTT, only to achieve a min-cash. In these cashout tournaments, I can cashout in the middle stage of the tournament with an above average chip-stack and get the same amount of $ that I would if I had finished in 15th place or so. Not only is it money in the bank, but I don't have to play as long. The prospect of getting 3rd place or better and collecting hundreds of dollars is very tempting, but so far, 100% of the time I have taken the prudent route and cashed out while I'm ahead - and I'm not complaining.

Just wondering if others play these and if so, do you play them until you win or bust out, or are you a coward like myself and find yourself cashing out while you still have a guaranteed small profit?

My apologies in advance if there is already a thread about these tournies
