Giving pokerstars you social security number

Got a bonus offer from them to deposit with echeck (check out the bonus forum). I was just wondering how many trust them with your social. I am on the fence.

I gave it to them. I found it a bit odd, but of the online Poker sites out there, I trust them more than any other.

That being said, there are a number of sites who ask for a lot of personal ID to make cashouts who I would trust less.

My wife has had her identity stolen twice, mostly for credit cards and once for a new cell phone and plan. Both times the perpetrators did so by stealing our mail. Bottom line, I trust PokerStars more than I trust my local post office or someone coming up to our now guarded mailbox.

I consider them one of, if not the most trusted, business that I have to deal with. When problems occur, either on their site or in the industry, they speak out. They take action when others sit around or lose their backbones. I've never had a single bad experience with Pokerstars in the 6 years I've been playing on their site. I can't say that about any other site or even most businesses I deal with.

There's not a snowball's chance in hell I'd give my SS# to any poker site. There's no reason they'd need it, and they're not getting it.
