Why you would want to play on tables with even more usurious rake than we otherwise see is beyond me.

Suffice it to say that I'm glad Stars doesn't have them. You're the first person I've seen on a poker forum that actively seeks them - I realise that poker forums aren't exactly indicative of the sites' markets as a whole, but even so...

My suggestion in another recent thread is that I expect US players to be allowed to play on Party at some stage in the future.

There comes a point when the bad beat jackpots get so high, that they become +EV to play. Depending on site and limit/buy-in played this number can be anywhere from $175K to $400K+.

The BBJ tables are so loose that even the added rake of $0.05 to $0.055 is worth it when there are so many poor players jacking your winners with even more BBs. For a good player, however, your commitment to the BBJ rake is even smaller because you are playing less hands than the fish. It's the fish shouldering the brunt of the added rake.

When all the rest of the tables at a site are running in the low 20s for VP$IP, it can be worth your while to pay the extra small bit of rake to play on juicier tables, as better players will generally beat the added rake because of the added looseness.

I'm currently playing lower than the lowest BBJ tables, but perhaps I'll do some research on BB/100 for limit as I move up next year.

couldnt of said it better!

i was on UB and doing good on the badbeat tables but they screwed me over too many times and i finally left them.

i got quite a few table shares and the tables were a lot looser too. good for player points and bonus chasing too btw.

but i cant go back to UB. i like pokerstars but they never have bonuses any more and i wish they would add bad beat tables.

lastly, i really hope to get back on party some day.

The Carbon/Poker/Oddsmaker BBJ is currently at $816,723.00. Lowest limit is .50/$1.00.

Check out Carbon Poker. They do have good badbeat. That is there I encountered a huge jackpot and have almost got it. Too bad.
Love it
