Which sats do you guys recommend for the UKIPT? Bear in mind I only have a small bankroll. I've played the €5 rebuys (seat only) and €8 sat to the €109, and didn't like the structure of either of them.
I'm just a break-even donk stuck in the Micros.

Sats just started for Nottingham!

Imo by far the best sats to play for these are the ones with a long rebuy period and a huge add on at the end. Obv you need to be rolled for about 15 bullets as not making the add on is giving up a ton of value.

It all makes sense now. The play in these was insane. With <10BBs it was rebuy>shove any two>rebuy by the obvious regulars. I couldn't understand the strategy at the time, but now it makes perfect sense.
Embarrassingly, I'm not even rolled for these, so I might try the super satellite route instead (which I've only just found). I've missed out on Galway, which is a real shame, but I'll have a stab at Nottingham instead.

Won my UKIPT Nottingham seat tonight for April in a £55 seat only sat. I will be playing 1b.

Pumped for Genting Birmingham next week. My home event!

The Genting event from 28/03/12 - 01/04/12 was moved from Southend to the Fox Club in London. It's a £400+30 buy in. Pretty sure this will be a great tournament. Will see the fieldsize from the first event next week, but if I was in London and looking to play an event this year I'd probably choose this one!

Busted on day two of the Genting tournament in Birmingham about 20 short of the money. Great tournament, enjoyed it and lots of value. On to the next one!

ty ty ty guys.. Will try my best.. surely I'm due a big score in all the years i've been playing, had so many close calls in my time.

Running good at the moment won a £22 168 runner mtt last week and 1000BB's in a 50p/50p cash game this week.. enjoying the game again, even after bubbling a UKIPT nottingham seat last week.

If your in for the sweat http://www.twitter.com/scottishbolt and less than likely pokerstarsblog.com ..

What was the standard like in the tourney? HUGE field, seems like a great event. Looking forward to Notts.

Standard was fair..

The field being made mostly of internet types there were a few good players. I felt comfortable there and believe i got a lot of respect from the better players.

Still a bit miffed at my bustout hand (he had KK btw hand 3 of the hand history thread).. I was really tired been a long time since ive played for 9 hrs straight.. I thought he'd flip up QQ at best but in hindsight a standard 4bet woulda been pretty much his stack so it wasn't really an overbet.

I also didn't know how I would cope with 20BB's going into a day 2.. after seeing quite a few guys cash with ~50k makes it even worse i didn't fold..

It's alll a learning curve though and should a spot come up like this again i'll know aboiut it.
