See this is where I have a problem with off shore poker sites. They will not disclose this information 100% to the public. Some day soon I have a feeling things will change thanks to Barney Frank and the PPA.

With all of the shady things going on in online poker with AP and now this does it help or hurt Barney Franks case?

Maybe this question would be better in the other board and could be worded better I am sure.

Essentially no, they all have clauses that say they can confiscate the funds of a player that violates the terms of service. Now, they most likely would not want to punish players for no reason... its not like Stars gets the 1.2M they are putting back to the player pool and Stars gets negative press... but I do not think there is much recourse for the player.

Yup, Isle of Man badboywes, backward, third world crooks the lot of 'em

If it's not American, then you can't trust it eh? Oh, and that's even after I post a pic of the Isle of Man Justice building.

As far as any company licensed in the Isle of Man or Alderney goes, then you'd be quite wrong. Malta possibly as well.

The rest, especially Costa Rica, Kanawahke & Curacao, perhaps you may have a point.

Hell fatshaft even if it is American now days it is hard to trust anything that is not law mandated. Ths whole situation just makes me in more favour of Internet poker being regulated by the Federal Goverment for us Americans.

I don't disagree, I'm fed up playing tight arse games everywhere because there are no Americans anywhere. The rest of the world doesn't play poker as a pastime, so while therer are fish everywhere, there just isnt the quality you get from really bad Americans. They'll only come back when ESPN has a poker room. Roll on that day, and Federal regulation.

Just don't be blinkered into thinking that because it's not regulated in the USA, then it's not regulated. I worked in the Isle of Man for 7 years, all of that time answerable to the Gaming Commision, including online for one of the 6 casinos they drove out of business due to their inspection and regulation. Things have loosened since then because they had to, but believe me, an IoM license such as Stars adheres to is no easy option.
