The new Rush

Postby superwomble » Oct 19 2011

I've just started playing on a site called Terminal Poker that claims to be the home of 'speed poker'. It just looks like Rush to me - as soon as you are finished in a hand you are immediately seated at a new table with different opponents and start playing the next hand.

The player pool is small at the moment but growing, and is in general of a pretty low standard.

They also claim:

There is also another HUGE extra benefit with this site.

Along with being able to play from your PC, as normal, as player numbers increase, it will be possible to play from authorised Terminal Poker machines that could be installed in outlets across Europe such as pubs, clubs and casinos.

This means that you are much less likely to be playing against a regular pro or 'shark'.

You are more likely to be playing against somebody in a club somewhere who has had a few too many drinks and fancies playing some 'online poker' rather than losing his money on the slots or at a roulette table in a casino

You can also play on your phone/ipad.

If anyone's interested in signing up and having a look the affiliate I signed up through for 30% rakeback also has some free 20euro bonuses for new players. I signed up through http://tetleyboy-affiliates.com (mods please remove if this is not ok). If you sign up through them please mention me (Mark Andrews, superwomble) as I get a little referral bonus then :)

I actually put in a shedload of volume over the summer on this site because they were running 120% rakeback plus rake races which with effort were possible to place in. I ended up getting around 170% rakeback over 2-3 months plus the opponents were terrible, as bad as I've seen online. I ended up making a really nice profit over the 3 months despite the limited action as I was playing mostly HU. I think I took one guy for 1.2k in a few hours HU at NL100 as you can buy in 400 deep and he literally didn't even know the hand rankings lol. Unfortunately the site has become less fishy (and by that I mean the guys who were open shoving 200BB deep have vanished) and I've actually not played there for a couple of months so can't really comment on what the games are like now but I still have some roll on there and it'll be my first choice to play when the mood takes me.

So yea if you have any questions regarding the site there's a good chance I might have the answer.

Have been playing on this for about 15-30 minutes a day in my lunchbreaks and early evenings and can confirm it is still nice and fishy. Unfortunately (for some) I have only seen decent traffic at the 0.02/0.05, 0.05/0.10 and 0.10/0.20 tables, but at these limits the pools are usually plenty big enough for a lot of hands in my quick bursts, and I'm making a relatively nice profit.

Stars have hinted that this is in development for them to hit the site in the next couple of months.

I guess nobody needs to worry about who owns the rights at the moment.

In the last few days I have had the following hands:

KK > 99 - I raised to 3BB, he shoved his 200BB stack, I called.
KK > 44 - I raised to 3BB, he shoved his 200BB stack, I called.
KK < 44 - I raised to 3BB, he shoved his 50BB stack, I called, he hit a 4 on the turn.
AA > AJo - I limped, he shoved his 200BB stack, I called.
AJs > 77 - I raised to 3BB, he shoved his 70BB stack, I called, J on flop.

I'm about 800BB up for not much play - loving Terminal at the mo!

What stakes are you playing Womble? This type of behaviour was happening regularly at NL100 during the summer, could literally just wait for a hand.

Unfortunately it's only .02/.05, shame it's not NL100
