We all know that fish come and go.

Where have the fish flowed to in 2009?

Isn't it a bit early to tell?

Depends on limit/buy-in, of course. However, adding the players from AP to UB has made that a virtual fishtank. Also, I am getting hammered at PDC Poker [Carbon Poker network] and Cake by people who can't fold bottom pair or a gutshot, so I know where I find the fish. I think a truer indication will be in Mid-January to February when everyone is back to work. Too hard to tell, like Zenjo points out, because the recreational players are schooling big time right now.

Play a $4.40 180 man SNG @ Stars, just make sure to wear a wet suit

For sure. It took me a grand total of 2 attempts to win one, and I never win anything.

An amusing example below of the transparent calling station cyclops. His VP$ was 82% PFR 0%. Funnily enough his ROI is -66%.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4.00+$0.40 Tournament, 75/150 Blinds (6 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

SB (t7442)
BB (t7790)
UTG (t2085)
MP (t3410)
CO (t2393)
Zenjo (Button) (t12448)

Zenjo's M: 55.32

Preflop: Zenjo is Button with :ac, :ad
4 folds, Zenjo raises to t300, SB calls t225, 1 fold

Flop: (t750) :8s, :tc, :8d (2 players)
SB bets t450, Zenjo raises to t1200, SB calls t750

Turn: (t3150) :4c (2 players)
SB checks, Zenjo bets t2000, SB calls t2000

River: (t7150) :kh (2 players)
SB checks, Zenjo bets t6750, SB calls t3942 (All-In)

Total pot: t15034

Results:
Zenjo had :ac, :ad (two pair, Aces and eights).
SB had :6h, :th (two pair, tens and eights).
Outcome: Zenjo won t15034

Coming back to the game after a couple years off (went and got me a college degree), I'm wondering how beatable the low limit ring games are, particularly at pokerstars, where I still have some funds kicking around.

I've heard, since the law decided to make playing from the us difficult, that low limit 10-player ring games are tough to beat with the rake. I'm wondering if that still holds or if soft games can be found. I'm working my way up from .10/.20 (which still looks very soft) and am hoping, variance willing, to work my way up to $1/2 and beyond fairly quickly when I infuse my bankroll with my recent fantasy football winnings.

I found a better one. Play the $3 90 man KOs at Full Tilt.
They make the $4 180 players look good.
I'm just a break-even donk stuck in the Micros.

Does any of you still play at Carbon? Does it still have any new offers?
