Yes and no. I suspect you're talking about low blind situations later in a tournament. This is vol 1 of 2 planned volumes. Vol 2 will talk about shorter stack and deeper in the tournament. But of course for the hands discussed, the number of blinds you have is considered and usually discussed in basically every hand played.

Yeah this what I meant, TY. I havent really seen much info how the different size stack sizes affect the play. I have seen a couple videos where situations came up and it was discussed in the play but nothing really dedicated to the topic. I think I have a decent idea but I dont play many tournies, mostly SNGs where the stack sizes are much easier to deal with.

The fish are in the river, so you need to get there as often as possible.

I read this book and loved is as well. I do not know why there aren’t more books like it. I am so sick of hearing about odds or poker theory. Every book covers this stuff and for me this is info I have down. I understand math and calling % etc. If you do not understand this yet, you need to figure this out but enough already. Don’t get me wrong understanding the odds your opponents is giving you and making sure that you give your opponent the worst odds they will call is the key to poker but you can’t do this if you can’t read betting patterns.

This book is about reading hands and betting patterns and gives you insight to over all tournament strategy and the thought process involved at various stages of a tournament. It also gives you understanding in successful tight and loose play. I look forward to the section on the final table and shorthanded play.

I would like to see a book in the same format by villain type and situations, for example section on short stacked play, big stacked play, play vs. scared money, play vs. an aggressive villain, play vs. a tight villain. Maybe you provide a hand and then have them comment on how they play vs. a solid regular and then ask the same vs. a donkey or aggressive villain etc.

Anyway good book!

Redman, you'll see in Volume II, that there is a lot more discussion on playing versus tight opponents versus loose opponents.

Hey!

I just bought the book and i'm exctingly walking through it but i want to know if there's a place where there are discussion over hands. I do have some different opinion and questions about the hands i'm reading and would enjoy a discussion over this.

Anyone knows a link in this forum or maybe someplace else?! :)

Thanks!

Hi Sickbay, welcome to ITH. Here is a link for discussions of hands from Volume II. If you have a question or want to start a discussion about a hand not referenced there, just start a new thread and be sure to put the name of the author and Hand # in the Subject.
