"This monthly column recaps the large online events, and shares information on freeroll tournaments, satellites to WPT and WSOP events, and high buy-in online events. This month, take a tour around the world via poker tournaments, and read about A Million-Dollar Guaranteed online tournament and the earliest WSOP qualifiers. "

For an early Jan event you can't go past the Aussie millions held at Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.

Stars, Paradise , Titan and Party are running satellites & step tournies to both the main event (10K buy in) and minor events from around $500 up.

There is also a $1600 Speed Poker tourney as well.
Trust everyone. But cut the cards.

That is a great tournament. Can't play this year with the baby but I definitely plan on making my way there sometime. Played in it a few years ago.
