PM Spam

Postby darvon » Sep 17 2008

I just got what looks like a spam PM from elevator.

I searched and could find no posts from him.

Is this a spam?

Is it possible to prevent new users from sending a PM? Or at least from sending multiple PMs?

He was banned at 9:30, but the damage had already been done.

I'll have to defer to Niin or Ciaran in terms of what can be done to prevent PMs from new members. We've had this happen once or twice before.

So I guess its OK to ignore this e-mail?

Yeah. They are just trying to lure you into getting a rakeback deal with them.

We may be able to hack something up, looking into it.

I really don't think it's a good idea to make people make X posts before they can PM.
